1.1. Information You Provide to Us

Account Information: If you register, we collect your name, email address, and password.

User Content: This includes the files you upload or input for processing, such as:

  • Audio and Video files for transcription.
  • Text and Documents (PDF, Docx) for Text-to-Speech conversion.
  • Images taken via the "Scan Text" feature.
  • URLs (YouTube/Instagram links) provided for link transcription.

Customer Support: Information you provide when you contact us for help.

1.2. Information We Collect Automatically

Usage Data: Details about how you use the App (e.g., features used, time spent, error logs).

Device Information: Device model, operating system, unique device identifiers (e.g., IDFA), and IP address.

1.3. Permissions We May Request

  • Microphone: To record audio for transcription (Dictation/Meeting Notes).
  • Camera: To scan physical documents for the "Scan Text" feature.
  • Photo Library/Storage: To upload media files for transcription or read documents.
  • Speech Recognition: To process your voice data in real-time.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • To Provide Services: Processing your audio, video, and text files to generate transcripts, voiceovers, or subtitles using AI technologies.
  • To Improve Kronos: Analyzing usage patterns to train our AI models (anonymously) and improve accuracy.
  • To Communicate: Sending you service updates, security alerts, and support messages.
  • To Process Payments: Managing subscriptions via third-party providers (Apple App Store / Google Play Store).

3. Third-Party Services and AI Processing

Kronos utilizes third-party AI and cloud services to perform its core functions.

  • AI Engines: We may send your User Content (audio/text) to trusted third-party AI providers (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, OpenAI, or specialized transcription APIs) solely for the purpose of processing your request. These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.
  • YouTube/Instagram API: If you use the "Link Transcription" feature, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. We do not store the video content, only the processed text.
  • Analytics: We use tools like Firebase or Google Analytics to understand app performance.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Retention: We retain your personal data and User Content only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.

Deletion: You can delete your account and associated data directly within the App settings. Upon request, we will delete your User Content from our servers, though some anonymized logs may remain for security purposes.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures (encryption in transit and at rest) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

Kronos is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
